Below you’ll find answers to the questions we’re asked most often.
If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please reach out — our team is always happy to help.
How much does physiotherapy cost?
We want pricing to be clear, simple and transparent.
The easiest way to see the most up-to-date fees is to visit our Book Now page.
You’ll find a full list of services and each practitioner’s consultation fees.
For GP Care Plans, Medicare contributes $61.80 per eligible session (as of 1 July 2025).
Because our appointments are longer and more comprehensive, a gap applies.
All fees are displayed clearly before you book, so you always know what to expect.
What should I wear and what should I bring to my physio appointment?
What to wear
Comfort is key. Please wear clothing that allows easy access to the area we’re assessing.
Some helpful examples:
- Shoulder or upper-body concerns → a singlet or loose top
- Knee, leg or ankle concerns → shorts or clothing you can roll up easily
We want you to feel relaxed and comfortable throughout your session.
What to bring
Anything that helps us understand your story is helpful.
This might include:
- GP, specialist or surgeon letters
- Scan reports
- Previous treatment notes
- For WorkCover, TAC or NDIS: claim numbers, insurer details and case manager contacts
Bringing these along helps us tailor your plan from day one.
What does a physio session look like at Point 2 Point Physiotherapy?
Your experience with us is one-on-one, unrushed and centred entirely around you.
We don’t leave you on machines.
We don’t juggle multiple patients at once.
You get our full attention, every session.
Your first appointment
We start by listening.
Your story, your goals, your challenges — this helps us understand the whole picture.
From there, we’ll assess what’s happening, make a clear diagnosis, and create your personalised Point 2 Point Management Plan.
Your first few sessions
Most patients begin by focusing on:
- Settling pain
- Calming symptoms
- Restoring comfortable movement
- Hands-on care and guided mobility work
Ongoing care
As things improve, we shift towards rebuilding strength, confidence and movement control — always at a pace that suits you.
Our aim is to help you feel empowered, capable and supported, while reducing the risk of flare-ups in the future.
What is the Point 2 Point Management Plan?
The Point 2 Point Management Plan is our way of making your journey clear, simple and transparent.
From your very first session, you’ll know:
- what’s going on,
- what you can do to help it,
- how we’ll support you, and
- what your pathway to recovery looks like.
To do this, we guide you through our structured Four Stages of Recovery:
Settle & Support
Reduce pain, calm symptoms and protect the injured area.
Rebuild & Retrain
Restore strength, mobility and movement control.
Elevate & Excel
Return to full function, performance and confidence.
Maintain & Thrive
Support your long-term wellbeing and reduce the risk of flare-ups.
These stages give you a clear roadmap. You’ll always know where you’re at, why it matters, and what comes next.
Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?
No referral is needed.
Physiotherapists are primary healthcare practitioners, so you’re welcome to book directly whenever you’re ready.
If you’re unsure where to start, our team can guide you.
Do you accept WorkCover, TAC, NDIS and GP Care Plans?
Yes — we work with all major insurance schemes, including:
- WorkCover
- TAC
- NDIS
- GP Management Plans (EPC/CDM)
What to bring
Please bring any relevant paperwork, including claim numbers and insurer details, so we can help make the process easy for you.
Where possible, we’ll bill the insurer directly.
Please note: late-notice cancellations aren’t covered by insurers, so any cancellation fees become an out-of-pocket cost.
